How many dismantlers are linked to 1st Choice?
1st Choice has built up a network of 100's of the UK 's TOP Car, Van & Motorcycle Recyclers and
now have the largest network of recycled parts suppliers in the UK . Probably, more than all the
other "Copycat" services combined.
What guarantees do they offer?
All offer a minimum of 30 days guarantee on all parts supplied. Many offer 60 days and some parts
come with 90 days or even more.
How quickly can I expect to start to receive quotes?
Usually within 5 minutes from the time you first enter your request.
Am I obliged to purchase if I make a request?
No, absolutely not. You're under no obligation whatsoever. Once you make a request, our members
phone or send you a quote for you to consider. You need not purchase any parts at all but we
hope our members will provide you with the best possible quotes available so if you need quality
used vehicle spares, 1st Choice members will be your No 1 choice.
Can I receive quotes by Text or Email?
Yes. In fact, even if our members call you, you will also receive written confirmation by Text or
Email. Just enter your mobile or email address and contact numbers when making a request.
What happens if a part supplied is faulty?
Simply contact the supplying member direct to inform them your part is faulty. The member will
usually ask you to return the faulty part and either despatch a replacement or if they do not
have one available, they will arrange for an immediate refund.
What do I do if a 1st Choice member refuses to replace a part or refund me?
In the unlikely event a member refuses to sort out a problem, our customer services department
(07092 042042) want to hear from you. Once they have all the details of the problem, they will
contact the member concerned and can usually arrange for a replacement part or refund on your behalf.
How quickly are parts delivered?
Usually the next day, depending on the time you made your request and the day of the week. For
example, if a request is made at 4.30pm, it is unlikely that the parts can be despatched before the
following day or if the request was made on a Friday, most couriers will be unable to deliver before
Monday, unless a special surcharge has been agreed.
Can I telephone my request?
Yes. If you would prefer to make your request by phone, simply call our Automated Request Line on
09065 508898 (Calls Cost £1.00 Per Minute from a BT Landline but calls from other networks may vary.)
- 24 hours a day and we'll be happy to take your full details for you but for speed, you can enter the

Is there a charge for the service?
Once registered, you can make Unlimited Requests, as often as you wish, for any number or type of vehicle
and receive ALL subsequent quotes, completely Free of Charge. Simply tell us what parts you're looking for
and those of our members with your parts in stock will normally Phone, Email or Text you within minutes,
with completely FREE no obligation quotes for you to compare and decide which is best for you. We receive
no commissions for any parts you may purchase from our network of members and in order to cover the cost
of providing the service, there is small membership fee which is collected by a £1.50 reverse charge text
message each month. Should you decide after registering that you no longer require our service, you may of
course cancel your membership at any time, simply by sending an SMS text message stating “Stop parts” to 80403.

Will my personal details be used by other companies?
No. Your personal details are used solely to allow our members to send quotes for parts you may request using
1st Choice Online or to inform you of any new developments or services available from 1st Choice.
What savings can I expect to make if I use Recycled spares instead of new ones?
Obviously it's impossible to accurately give a true percentage figure but you should expect to save between 50% to
80% off the cost of new spares.
What success rate does 1st Choice have in finding spares?
Again it's impossible to accurately state just how many times we successfully find spares for customers but
indications are that its as often as high 80% to 90% of the time.
What if you do not find my spares first time?
Obviously with the nature of used spares, it would be impossible for every member to have every spare for every
model of vehicle ever made, however with a network of 100's Dismantlers, we usually expect 4, 5 or 6 to have one.
It is of course possible from time to time that no one will have a particular part but as all members are receiving
new stock daily, you can simply re-enter your request a day or two later and often, your parts will have become
available.
How many requests can I make?
As many as you like. Obviously if you are a private motorist, you will only need to make the occasional request
for spares but if you are a trade repairer, you can use 1st Choice to locate them as often as you wish
